Rocksbox Review + Special Offer

chelshoot2-26I’ve been using Rocksbox for awhile now.  According to my account, I’m on my 14th box!  So when they approached me about doing a review, it was so easy for me to say YES!  I LOVE Rocksbox!  It’s a subscription service that sends you 3 pieces of jewelry that you can keep for as long or as little time as you like.  When you’re finished, you mail it back in the provided envelope and they’ll send you another set!  So easy!!  Each set is valued around $200 and includes designer brands like Kendra Scott, House of Harlow 1960, Margaret Elizabeth, and Gorjana.  I’ve been really impressed with the crazy high quality of the jewelry I’ve received!  I’m obsessed with checking their website and instagram (@Rocksbox) to add new items to my wishlist.

The subscription is only $19/mo. and you get to use $10 of that fee each month towards the purchase of any pieces you couldn’t live without.  Ready for a super special offer?!  I’m giving you an extraordinary promotion code for your first month FREE!  Just enter the code ‘wanderinginheelsxoxo’ at checkout.  You’re going to love it!  Click here to Sign Up!

Definitely one of my favorite jobs is when I get to assist with styling runway shows.  These photos are from the Beauty Trend Show at Nordstrom Fashion Valley.  This event is particularly fun because we get to go a little wild with print on print action and lots of bold colors.  The hardest part of the job is trying to not come home with every single thing (and the 6am call time)!  I’ve provided links for some of the items under the photos for your shopping pleasure!

Lust List: Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Miracle Cleanser

DSC_0034No highlighter necessary!  With that “glow from within” look all the rage right now, skip the makeup and get the real thing!  This cleanser has quickly become my favorite step in my cleansing routine.  Its probiotic and peptide technologies lift away all the grime from the day while moisturizing your skin and protecting it from premature aging.  To use, you simply apply to dry skin, massage, and use the provided ridiculously soft bamboo muslin to remove.  Before using this product, I usually start with a cleansing oil to get all my makeup off then move on to the Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Miracle Cleanser to feed my skin.  The herbal smell of chamomile, eucalyptus, rosemary, and bergamot is simply heavenly too!  I highly recommend giving this cleanser a try!  Try the Aurelia Probiotic Skincare collection here!

This is not a sponsored post.  I just like to share great finds with my readers.  Enjoy!stilettos

Nordstrom Designer Preview

IMG_20150319_192106243OMG.  The Nordstrom Designer Preview is my absolute favorite show I get to help put on every year.  Who wouldn’t want to touch all these beautiful art-like pieces of designer clothing… and get paid for it?!  Even more so, it’s inspiration for my real life looks for the coming season.  Here are my favorite outfits from the event.  P.S. – My birthday is coming up if anyone is looking for ideas. *wink wink*

Celebration of Fashion Runway Show

Spring has arrived in San Diego which means it’s time to roll out the new Spring/Summer trends.  Fashion Valley Mall shared some amazing new looks from retailers like Boss Hugo Boss, White House Black Market, Scotch & Soda, Anthropologie, Halston Heritage, AllSaints, Ted Baker London, Joe’s Jeans, & Macy’s.  If that lineup doesn’t get you excited, you need to check your pulse!  One of my favorite trends is the boho vibe including platform shoes, flowing maxi dresses, and fringe covered coats and bags.  If only my mom had kept her clothes from her teenage years!  I’d be right on trend!

Louboutin Inspired Nails

DSC_0031Over Labor Day, I found a pair of super sleek black suede Christian Louboutin boots for 75% off.  When that perfect storm hits, you buy them.  I’ve been wanting a pair of Louboutins for as long as I’ve loved fashion (which is basically forever) so to say I’m excited would be the understatement of the year.  To be honest, I’m not sure what has been holding me back from purchasing for so long.  They’re super pricey so that’s a huge reason but I’m all about a great classic investment piece you’ll wear for years to come.  I’ll debut them on the blog here when it’s not so hot that I can barely change out of a swim suit without cringing.  So in honor of my fun shopping find, I painted my nails with Nails Inc. ‘Alexa Leather’ with an accent of the Christian Louboutin ‘Rouge Louboutin’ polish.

The Nails Inc. ‘Alexa Leather’ is supposed to be texturized to have a leather-like feel. Honestly, it doesn’t feel like leather to me but I like the fun bit of texture and the matte look.  Still totally worth checking out!

Green Flash Concert Series – Marc Broussard

DSCN0143 To say I’m in love with Marc Broussard would be a gross understatement.  I’ve been attending his Southern California concerts religiously since I saw him open for Gavin DeGraw back in the day.  His Louisiana swagger and rusty voice makes me weak in the knees!  I was so happy to hear some of his oldie-but-goodies for a little trip down memory lane.  The location at the Birch Aquarium was outstanding!  Simply the most beautiful location that I’ve ever attended a concert.  Just the view alone makes me want to go to the rest of the Green Flash Concert Series.  DSCN0199DSCN0203DSCN0191DSCN0184DSCN0224stilettos
